Sulfuric acid is a highly corrosive, yellowish coloured turbid liquid. It is soluble in water with liberating heat.

Sulfuric acid is available in tankers.
Store in a tightly closed container. Keep in a cool, dry and well-ventilated area. Never add water to this product. It reacts violently with water. In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. If ingested, get medical advice immediately. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Keep away from incompatible materials such as oxidising agents, reducing agents, combustible materials, organic materials, metals, acids, alkalis and moisture. May corrode metallic surfaces. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses or chemical goggles, full body suit, vapour respirator, safety shoes, gloves etc. Do not ingest, breathe gas | fumes | vapours | spray. A self-contained breathing apparatus should be used to avoid inhalation of the product. Suggested protective clothing might not be sufficient; consult a specialist before handling this product. Eye contact: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Cold water may be used. Get immediate medical aid.
Skin contact: Immediately wash skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash them properly before reuse. Apply an emollient to irritated skin. Cold water may be used. Get immediate medical aid.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting unless directed by medical personnel. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Loosen tight clothing such as collar, tie, belt or waistband. Get immediate medical aid if symptoms appear.
Inhalation: Shift the person to fresh air. If the person is not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get immediate medical aid.
Sulfuric acid is a corrosive and toxic liquid. Stop leakage, if without risk. Absorb spilled material with dry sand or other non-combustible material. Do not touch spilled material. Use a water spray curtain to divert vapour drift and reduce vapours. Neutralise the area with a dilute solution of sodium carbonate. Prevent entry into sewers, basements or confined areas; dike if needed. Waste must be disposed of in accordance with federal, state or local regulations, as applicable.
